Lecturer for Austin Scholars
Position Overview: The Department of Religious and Theological Studies at Merrimack College invites applications for a non-tenure track lecturer position with the responsibilities of assisting the Austin Scholars program, the Living/Learning Community of the department. Candidates should have a doctorate in theology and experience in campus or parochial ministry working with youth and young adults, with an understanding of Catholic life and service and Catholic Social Teaching, and an openness to the Augustinian tradition.
The successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge of and commitment to the liberal arts and to the mission of the college, and the ability to contribute broadly to the Religious and Theological Studies program, to the co-curricular and service components of the Austin Scholars program, and to the general education curriculum of the college. The teaching load is three courses per semester with mentoring responsibilities for members of the Austin Scholars community of students. The successful candidate must demonstrate excellence in teaching and pastoral care, along with an understanding of the role of reflection on service experience.
