Digital Media Production Manager and Instructor

Position Overview: The Department of Communication & Media at Merrimack College invites applications for a full-time position managing our internet radio station and TV studio. Other duties include but are not limited to: teach introductory radio production and TV production, develop other courses related to the interests of the instructor and students (the total teaching load per year would be a 1/2); serve as advisor to at least one of our media-related student organizations; guide and provide technical support to students working on media production projects; inspire and mentor students to encourage creativity and innovation in response to a changing media climate/industry; offer tech support and assist in developing collaborations between the student radio, television, and news organizations.


The successful candidate should have a Master’s degree in Media Production, Broadcasting, or related field, working knowledge of broadcast station workflow, the ability to troubleshoot and maintain software/hardware in both studio and field environments, and professional radio and TV production or management experience.


The ideal candidate will also have experience in public, college or community radio, internet radio, managing student organizations or advising students, and previous teaching experience at the college/university level.
